The Conference is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and International Labour Organization (ILO). It will take place at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, from 1 to 5 December 2014.
The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for occupational radiation protection specialists to review advances, challenges and opportunities in the field since the first IAEA international conference on this topic, held in Geneva, Switzerland, in August 2002, as well as to identify areas for future improvement. It will also provide an opportunity for all the stakeholders involved in occupational radiation protection to exchange information and experience. On the basis of the results of the conference, conclusions and recommendations will be formulated for future occupational radiation protection guidelines.
